Football Manager 27 (FM27): Release Date, Platforms, Price and What's New

FM27 is nearly here, and if you're anything like us you've already started thinking about the first youth intake of your new save. This page keeps everything you need in one spot: when it's out, what you can play it on, what it costs, and what Sports Interactive has confirmed so far. We'll keep it updated right through launch.

What is the FM27 release date? Football Manager 27 launches worldwide from 10 November 2026. Sports Interactive confirmed the date on 29 September 2026, and it's the same date shown on the Steam store page.

Can I play FM27 early? Yes, and it's free. Launch Preview Free Play gives you five free days of FM27, from 29 October to 3 November 2026, on Steam, Epic, the Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. Football Manager recommends you wishlist now so you're ready.

What platforms is FM27 on? On day one: PC via Steam, Epic Games and the Xbox PC app (including PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate), plus FM27 Console on Xbox and PS5 (including Game Pass Console), and FM27 Mobile via Netflix. All of them launch from 10 November.

How much does Football Manager 2027 cost? The price is TBC, announced soon. Sports Interactive hasn't announced pricing yet, and has said pre-purchase and discount details will follow.

What's new in FM27? So far SI has announced smarter navigation and a more intuitive full-screen experience, Cup Draws, Transfer Deadline Day, an overhauled news feed and upgrades to the match day experience. More feature news is on the way.

Release date and Launch Preview

The big date is 10 November 2026. That's when FM27 launches globally across PC, console and mobile.

If you can't wait that long, there's Launch Preview Free Play: five free days of FM27 from 29 October to 3 November 2026, on Steam, Epic, the Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. Football Manager says to wishlist now to be ready. Historically the preview is when the community starts sharing early saves, early wonderkid finds and, for us, early regen talk.

Whether progress from the free preview carries over to the full game hasn't been announced, so we won't assume it does.

SI has also said digital pre-purchase and discount incentives are coming. Those details are TBC, announced soon as well.

While you wait, you can wishlist FM27 on Steam, Epic Games or the Microsoft Store to get notified when it's time to play.

Platforms

PC (Steam, Epic Games, Xbox PC app)

FM27 is on Steam, Epic Games and the Xbox PC app from day one. It's also included for PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. The Steam page lists Sports Interactive as developer and SEGA as publisher.

Console (PS5 and Xbox)

FM27 Console launches on Xbox and PS5 from 10 November, and Game Pass Console subscribers are included. So if you've been searching for the FM27 release date on PS5, it's the same date as PC. SI says further platform details will follow, and we'll add them here when they land.

Mobile (Netflix)

FM27 Mobile is coming via Netflix, also from 10 November. As with console, SI says more platform details are to follow.

Price and where to buy

Pricing for FM27 is TBC, announced soon. As soon as official prices appear on the official stores, we'll list them here by platform, with the date we checked them.

What's new in FM27 (confirmed so far)

Sports Interactive is rolling out FM27 news through videos and deep-dive blogs. Here's what's been officially announced so far. Nothing on this list is guesswork.

• Smarter navigation and a full-screen experience. SI says it's easier to get what you need with fewer clicks.
• Cup Draws. These are part of SI's push to keep you plugged into the football world beyond your own club.
• Transfer Deadline Day. It's back on the list of announced features. We'll find out how much drama it brings at launch.
• An overhauled news feed. Again, this is about staying connected to what's happening elsewhere in your save.
• Match day upgrades. SI describes these as making every fixture feel like "a richer piece of football theatre".

SI's own summary is that FM27's foundations "evolve to deliver greater control, smoother discovery and a deeper, more immersive football world", with more feature news still to come. We'll add each new announcement here with a link to the official post.

What FM27 means for regens and youth intakes

This is the bit we care about most at Regen Hunters.

Sports Interactive hasn't announced any changes to youth intakes, regens or newgens for FM27 yet. So anything you read elsewhere about "new FM27 youth intake mechanics" is unconfirmed until SI says so or the community tests it in the Launch Preview.

Here's how things worked in FM26, as a starting point:

• Every nation has its own youth intake window. Your club's date shows under Squad > Youth Setup. You can browse all new players under World > Transfers > Youth Intake.
• The youth intake preview comes first. Your Head of Youth Development sends a preview a few months ahead of intake day. FM26 players found that a regen's core attributes and potential seem to be set around the time of the preview, not on intake day.
• Facilities matter. Youth Facilities, Junior Coaching and Youth Recruitment all shape the regens who come through.
