FM27 Youth Intake Dates: When Every Nation's Regens Arrive

Youth intake day is the best day of the Football Manager year. Your academy finally reveals its new batch of hopefuls, and every other club in the world gets theirs too. FM27 isn't out yet, so we haven't published any FM27 intake dates. We'll add tested dates nation by nation once we've played the Launch Preview (from 29 October 2026) or the full release (10 November 2026). Until then, this guide explains how youth intakes worked in FM26, how to check your club's date, and what to do on the day so you're first to the best regens.

How do I check my club's youth intake date? In FM26, your club's date was shown under Squad > Youth Setup. We'll confirm the FM27 menu path on PC, console and mobile in the Launch Preview.
Are youth intake dates the same in every save? In FM26, community testing found each nation's intake starts around the same time in every save. What varies is how long it lasts and which clubs go first. We'll confirm whether that holds in FM27 once we've tested it.
What's the youth intake preview? A few months before intake day, your Head of Youth Development sends a preview of the players coming through. It shows the positions and the rough quality to expect. (Based on FM26.)
What is a youth intake?
Every year, each club in Football Manager receives a group of new young players, usually aged 15 or 16. These are regens (also called newgens). The game generates them, and they're unique to your save: no one else will ever have the same player. Some are journeymen, and a lucky few become world-class.
Every nation generates its youth at its own time of year. That's why the dates matter: if you know when Brazil's or France's intake lands, you can be there first.

How to check your club's intake date
PC
Based on FM26: Squad > Youth Setup shows your next intake date and a countdown. We'll confirm the FM27 path once we've tested it.
Console (PS5 / Xbox)
We'll confirm the console menu path once we've tested FM27 on PS5 and Xbox.
Mobile (Netflix)
We'll confirm the menu path, and whether FM27 Mobile has full youth intakes, once we've tested it.
What to do on youth intake day
These steps are based on FM26. We'll confirm them in FM27.
- Check your own intake first. Look at the new players, offer contracts to the ones worth keeping and release the rest.
- Open the global list. In FM26 it was World > Transfers > Youth Intake. Filter by nation and month.
- Shortlist and scout. Add anyone with high reputation or value for their age, then send scouts.
- Move quickly. The best regens at smaller clubs get noticed fast.
How to get better regens at your own club
